CNG Logistics

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is a cleaner and often cheaper alternative to traditional fossil fuels such as gasoline and diesel. The logistics of CNG involve a well-coordinated process of production, compression, transportation, storage, and distribution.

Versafusion’s  Major service delivery is delivering clean and cost-effective natural gas to power generation companies, heavy industries, commercial complexes and residential estates.

CNG Availability for Versafusion is most reliable in the market due to its “Dual Source” Concept which guarantees continuous gas supply to all client sites and uses real-time remote monitoring to ensure our customers are always supplied Natural Gas.

At Versafusion, we off-take Gas Supply (Piped Natural Gas) from different suppliers to our Multiple CNG Stations – this helps us have alternatives of Gas Supply in case one supplier cannot feed our stations Gas. This enables us to stick to our supply commitments leading to Maximal Client Satisfaction.

Transportation by Road

For areas not served by pipelines, our CNG can be transported using specially designed vehicles:

  • Tube Trailers: Large trailers equipped with high-pressure cylinders.
  • ISO Containers: Standardized containers for easy transport by road, rail, and ship.
  • Safety Protocols: Includes measures for handling high-pressure gas and preventing leaks during transport.

 Storage

Storage Facilities

CNG storage is crucial for ensuring a steady supply to meet demand. Storage options include:

  • CNG Cylinders: High-pressure steel or composite cylinders.
  • Storage Cascades: Multiple cylinders connected in series to store larger volumes.
  • Underground Storage: Utilizes depleted gas fields or salt caverns for large-scale storage.

Safety and Maintenance

  • Pressure Monitoring: Ensuring stored gas remains at safe pressure levels.
  • Regular Inspections: Checking for cylinder integrity and potential leaks.
  • Ventilation Systems: Prevents gas accumulation in case of leaks.

Distribution

Distribution Network

Our CNG is distributed to end users via a network of CNG refueling stations:

  • Public Stations: Accessible to the general public, often located at existing fuel stations.
  • Private Stations: Owned by fleets or businesses for exclusive use.
  • Mobile Refueling Units: Portable units that bring CNG to the user’s location.

Versafusion Global Limited has strong strategic alliances with downstream gas suppliers in Nigeria such as Shell Nigeria Gas (SNG), Nigerian Gas Company (NGC), Niger Delta Petroleum Resources (NDPR) and other Nigerian marginal field operators – ensuring a steady and balanced supply of gas to our clients.
